As I tread down the gritty smog-filled avenues,
Dusk prepares me for the birth of vision.
Distractions loom in corners, like vultures that stake a claim
On the remains of my peace.
My pondering builds conviction, which opens eyes,
And stokes the fires of aspiration.
Colors emit life; the crackle of future fixations reheats my senses.
In a trance my thoughts flutter and flirt with bliss.
Overcome obstacles that narrow the scope.
I swim deeper, asking reality and fantasy to fuse.
A brand new consciousness, where all possibilities multiply,
A blessing from God, thank the heavens
For dexterity and clarity of the mind.
I am floating in chambers that heal all schisms,
A shelter from the madness that swallows optimism.
Bobbing and weaving pervasive sounds,
That steer my attention away from revelation.
I need a clear space where I can stretch out,
To throw off the shackles of convention and doubt
Believe that I will live to see the sun come up, and make my dreams blaze.
